Wedding Restrictions Loosening

It’s been a crazy time for all of us and so many have had their lives on hold, wedding after wedding canceled and postponed. With the rollout of the vaccinations, Ireland is starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel. From July the 5th of 2021 the following will be possible. 

• You can have visitors indoors at home from up to 3 other households
• Restaurants and bars can reopen for indoor service
• Indoor training and exercise can resume in pods of up to 6 people.
• Indoor events can have up to 50 people attend in groups of 6 people. Larger venues can have up to 100 in attendance with strict public health measures in place
• Outdoor events can have up to 200 in attendance. Larger outdoor venues with a capacity of 5000 or more can have up to 500 in attendance
• Wedding receptions can have up to 50 people attend
• First communions, confirmations, and baptisms may take place
• Indoor activities such as bowling alleys, snooker halls, and children’s play centers can reopen

The news all future brides and grooms want to hear is that they can now have more of their friends and family there on their big day. We can now attend a wedding with up to 50 people but those who want more at their wedding can hold off a little as we are expected to have up to 100 people by the end of August this year. This is big for anyone who has a wedding coming up, just back in January of this year only 6 were permitted to attend a wedding. 

Always remember to stay safe, ask your guests to stay at home if they feel unwell or have symptoms. Try to stay a safe distance from people and where you cannot, a mask should be used in this situation. Cover your coughs and sneezes and as we all know regularly wash and clean your hands throughout the day. Should the weather permit it’s best to have your reception outdoors, but if this is not possible as we do live in Ireland just ensure your area is well ventilated for your guests. 

Planning a wedding can be a very stressful and long process and adding in Level 5 covid restrictions doesn’t help we know this.
