We all love a good wedding but have you ever tried to plan one? If you have you’ll know that it can be a stressful time in any bride and grooms life. Here are the Top 5 Steps When Planning a Wedding.
1.The Budget – This is number 1 as its the biggest stress in a brides planning process. A survey of brides and grooms showed that the budget accounted for 90% of the stress factors when planning a wedding. We can see why, let’s face it weddings are stressful
2. Keeping Everyone Happy – You might be surprised to hear that this is number 2! Well it is, even before the engagement couples think of this and what the in-laws and friends will think of their wedding. Does your mum or his mum want a church wedding, do you? It’s not always easy to keep everyone happy so remember this when planning your big day. And at the end of the day, it’s your big day not theirs so don’t stress!
3. Finding The Ideal Venue – OMG the venue is so important to any wedding, it sets the scene and can make or break a wedding. The venue can depend on location and even the number of guests you are having, some venues you like may not fit all your guests or be too large of a venue for your numbers. This is something that brides overlook, just think about it, have you ever been to a wedding and the reception room looks empty! We have and it’s not nice for any bride to witness.
4. Who Do You Invite? – The dreaded guest list! Who do you invite, how many can you afford to invite? “Haven’t spoke to this person in years, should I invite them?” All these questions make the preparing of the guest list a daunting one. A rule of thumb if you haven’t spoken to them in a year, don’t invite them!
5. Children at Your Wedding? – This is a tricky one and one factor that stresses many of brides and grooms out. Do I invite peoples children? I personally wouldn’t invite them unless they are close family members like a niece or nephew but each to their own. If you can afford it and you don’t mind children running wild on your big day, then go for it!
