Would You Charge Guests to Attend Your Wedding?

Could you even think of doing this? Yes, charging your guests to attend your wedding seems like a bonkers idea and a sure fire way to lose friends. Someone actually tried to do such a thing and charge her guests a massive 1,300 each to attend her wedding. When they refused she was outraged and couldn’t understand what the big fuss was all about.

This to be bride was so excited to marrying her long term boyfriend and wanted the perfect day with no expense spared. Her dream wedding quickly turned into a nightmare and she was forced to call off her dream wedding and even call it off with her fella. She blamed her family and friends for the cancelled wedding and the breakup of her relationship. Her friends and family refused to pay to attend her wedding and this caused her to be distressed and call it all off.

This woman in question took to social media to explain via a post on her personal page about her frustration and it has since gone viral and we can see why. She told of how she cancelled her wedding just 4 days before the wedding was to go ahead. She also announced that she had broken up with her boyfriend.

She is going to be civil with her ex for their son, yes they have kids! She announced that she wants to get away from the toxic social media vibes and will spend the next two months travelling around South America, ahhh what about your son Hun? She blamed the toxic energy on her family and friends and said she would return to social media one day and add only the family and friends that haven’t stabbed her in the back…ooochhh.

What did she say?

Well the post was a long one where she mentioned that she met her ex at the tender age of just 14, goes there their story….. It’s long. She told people how she and her partner worked hard to save and they saved 15,000 for their wedding but wanted a big wedding for their fairy tale love story. The dream wedding toted up to approx 60,000 and they were asking their friend and family to couch up and help them make this all possible. They asked guests for all cash gifts no exceptions. Each guest was expected to hand over 1,3000 each.

Some friend and family members did give them contributions to their dream wedding. Guests who refused to contribute were told that they couldn’t attend their exclusive wedding. MY GOD THIS IS NUTS! Only 8 people RSVP’ed and this sent the bride to be in a spin, she couldn’t understand. This put the dream wedding at risk so they resent the invited and asked people to give what they can, and set up a go fund me page which raised 250 only.

Her ex got mad with all the drama and that was the end of that relationship. WOW I have no words!
